Noir is a 5 piece band that was formed in Feb 2007 due to a direct client request for an instrumental background music band that (a) wasn't a string quartet, (b) wasn't a jazz band, and (c) played some contemporary (and popular!) repertoire.

The main melodic voice in Noir is the saxophone, played by the very talented Kate Mlynar, although sometimes melodic roles are traded with keyboards and/or guitar. For all Noir gigs our drummer plays an electronic drumkit, to facilitate volume control.

Noir is available for events where live background music is required to provide style and ambiance.
